Milbank LLP is advising Werfen S.A. in connection with its definitive agreement with the holding company of Immucor, Inc. (“Immucor”) to acquire Immucor from TPG for approximately USD $2 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2023, subject to regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
Immucor is a privately-held corporation with a strong global presence in transfusion and transplant in vitro diagnostics, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, USA. Werfen is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and distributor of Specialized Diagnostic instruments, related reagents, automation workcells and data management solutions for use primarily in hospitals and independent clinical laboratories.
