Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee
Decades ago, we recognized the value of having diverse perspectives and backgrounds at every level of the Firm. In fact, we were one of the first major law firms to establish a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee in 1992. The DEI Committee consists of partners from across the globe to ensure international alignment in our efforts. The DEI Committee collaborates with our DEI Team to influence and shape not just what we do, but also the way that we do it so that everyone at the Firm has the potential to develop professionally.

Women’s Initiative Committee
Milbank's Women’s Initiative supports and develops the careers of women attorneys at Milbank and champions the success of our women attorneys at all levels. Like the Firm’s DEI Committee, the WI Committee is international, comprising of partners across practice groups, offices, and Firm management to ensure alignment in its efforts. The WI Committee collaborates closely with the DEI Committee and other key Firm stakeholders to deploy programs that are responsive to the particular needs of our women attorneys. Affinity Groups and Focus Groups
For more than two decades, Milbank’s Affinity Groups and Focus Groups have enabled our attorneys to foster communities that promote connection and belonging at the Firm.
Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups support the recruitment, retention, and development of associates at the Firm and help attorneys build community and address topics of mutual interest.
Affinity groups have regular meetings, sponsor social activities, and coordinate pro bono and service opportunities. All associates can participate in affinity groups.
Local office networks, DIG DC and DIG LA, include attorneys from varying backgrounds, practice groups, and class years. Like our Affinity Groups, their members are interested in building community, addressing topics of mutual interest, and supporting the recruitment, retention, and development of attorneys at the Firm.

London Focus Groups
Milbank’s London Focus Groups collaborate to address matters related to inclusion and help the Firm celebrate the richness of the cultures within the London office and the colleagues that call it their home.
In partnership with the London DEI Steering Committee and the Global DEI Team, our London Focus Groups’ primary aim is to help foster communities based on mutual trust, care, and respect.
