Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Miller’s practice focuses on federal and state court litigation of complex commercial matters and bankruptcy-related litigation. She has extensive experience trying cases and managing disputes out of court and in mediation. Ms. Miller regularly represents financial institutions, corporations, and individuals in civil litigation, securities, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud-based actions. She has tried jury and non-jury cases in federal courts across the country and has argued appeals in federal circuit and state courts.
Ms. Miller has litigated through trial multiple fraudulent transfer claims and other claims arising out of bankruptcy proceedings. Most recently, she represented Ambac Assurance Corp. in federal litigation related to the financial crisis in Puerto Rico and the unprecedented restructuring proceedings of the Commonwealth and its related entities and defended lenders against fraud claims arising out of the collapse of cryptocurrency platform Celsius Network.
Ms. Miller also litigates appropriate rates for music performing rights, on behalf of Broadcast Music, Inc. She obtained a trial victory for BMI against Pandora Media, Inc. The decision was identified by Law360 as one of the biggest copyright rulings of the year and changed the market for performing rights in the digital era. Ms. Miller also successfully challenged the Department of Justice’s interpretation of BMI’s antitrust Consent Decree and was identified as Litigator of the Week by the American Lawyer for the victory. More recently, Ms. Miller obtained a trial victory for BMI against live concert promoters, including Live Nation and AEG, that more than doubled the rate for music at live concerts. She is currently representing BMI in a rate setting case against the over 10,000 local commercial broadcast radio stations.

Ms. Miller was named a Litigation Star in Benchmark Litigation's 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions, and listed in Benchmark Litigation’s “40 and Under Hot List” in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, which honors the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished legal partners under the age of forty. Benchmark Litigation has also recognized Ms. Miller as a “Future Star” in Litigation. In 2017 and 2018, Legal 500 named Ms. Miller a Next Generation Lawyer in the area of General Commercial Disputes. In 2024, The Legal 500 recognized Ms. Miller as recommended for general commercial and bankruptcy-related litigation.
In 2022, 2023, and 2024, Ms. Miller was recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers USA for Litigation: General Commercial. Ms. Miller was recognized in the Collaborative Leadership category by Corporate Counsel as part of their 2023 Women, Influence and Power in Law Awards. In 2022 and 2023, Ms. Miller was honored as Media & Entertainment Lawyer of the Year by Euromoney's Women in Business Law Americas Awards. She was previously recognized in Euromoney's Women in Business Law Expert Guide 2021.
In 2023, Ms. Miller was recognized by Billboard as a Top Music Lawyer. In 2016, Ms. Miller was recognized as “one of the top media and entertainment attorneys under the age of 40” by Law360 as part of its annual “Rising Stars” series. In 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2023, Ms. Miller was named to Law360’s Media and Entertainment Editorial Advisory Board. As a member of the Board, Ms. Miller provides Law360 with feedback on media and entertainment coverage and insight as an expert in the field on how best to shape future coverage.
