Jenna is special counsel in the Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group in London with significant experience advising project sponsors, borrowers and lenders (including export credit agencies, multi-laterals and development finance institutions as well as commercial lenders) in relation to the development and financing of large scale, complex and often “first-of-a-kind” projects.  Jenna’s experience includes advising on both project and finance documents across a broad range of industry sectors and geographies. 

Primary Focus & Experience

Representative matters include advising:

  • ECAs and commercial banks in relation to the 262.5MW Gabal wind farm in Egypt;
  • the lenders and EIB on the restructuring of the Damietta LNG project in Egypt;
  • the sponsors, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd, ITOCHU and GDF Suez on the negotiation, development and financing of the Sinop Nuclear Power Project in Turkey including the negotiation of EPC arrangements;
  • Bendis in relation to the Gazdepo and Toren underground gas storage projects in Tarsus, Turkey including the negotiation of EPC arrangements for the construction of the storage facilities;
  • IFC, UKEF and a commercial bank group led by HSBC, ING, Société Générale and Standard Chartered Bank as the lenders on the financing of Vitol’s participation in the US$7.9 bn Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) oil and gas field project involving the development of the Sankofa-Gye Nyame fields in Ghana;
  • JBIC, PIF and the lenders on Phase II of Sumitomo Corporation’s US$5.2 billion expansion project for the PetroRabigh Refining and Petrochemicals Project in Saudi Arabia;
  • the project company, on SEC’s US$2 billion Riyadh PP-11 IPP. The financing comprised commercial bank lenders, two senior Islamic tranches and a direct loan from US Ex-Im, as well as equity bridge financing including an Islamic Murabaha tranche; and
  • the lenders supporting a bid for the Bahrain LNG regasification project.

Recognition & Accomplishments

Jenna received her Legal Practice Certificate from the College of Law and her degree in Law with European Law from the University of Nottingham. She is admitted to practice as a solicitor of the supreme court of England and Wales.

Jenna has co-authored a chapter on “Renewables” in “International Project Finance – Law and Practice” published by Oxford University Press.
