Cesareo “Ari” Singzon is a member of Milbank’s Corporate Finance and Securities Group and regularly advises issuers and investment banks in a variety of debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets transactions, including Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings, high yield and investment grade debt offerings, initial public offerings, share placements, tender and exchange offers and consent solicitations.

Ari's experience spans diverse sectors including real estate, TMT, banking and finance, retail, aviation, power and energy and infrastructure. In addition to his work in the capital markets space, Ari has experience advising on cross-border M&A, private equity, project and corporate finance matters. His practice focuses on Southeast Asia and he has extensive experience in the Philippines. Ari is bilingual in English and Tagalog.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Prior to joining the firm, Ari represented issuers and investment banks in a variety of debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets transactions in the Philippines, including the establishment of the first exchange-traded fund in the country, recognized as “Asia’s Best Emerging Market ETF” at the inaugural ETF and Indexing Awards 2015. Ari has also assisted foreign investors with their investments and business acquisitions across a wide spectrum of industries both in the Philippines and Myanmar.
Ari has an LL.M. from Columbia University, where he was a James Kent scholar and an Appel fellow, a J.D. from Ateneo de Manila University, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class, and an A.B., magna cum laude, from the Ateneo de Manila University. He is admitted to the bar in the State of New York, admitted as an attorney in the Philippines, where he placed 1st in the 2010 bar examination, and is registered as a foreign lawyer in Hong Kong.
