Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Cassino served as Director of the Department of Pro Bono Affairs for the New York State Bar Association from 1996-2000. From 1994-1996, Mr. Cassino served as Counsel to a New York State Assemblyman, and from 1990-1994 he practiced corporate law with the law firm of Emmet, Marvin & Martin in New York City.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Cassino is a community leader and former City Council candidate who served as Chairman of the Van Cortlandt Park Conservancy; Commissioner on the Voter Assistance Advisory Commission; Chairman of Bronx Community Board 8; and Chairman of the Riverdale Nursery School & Family Center. He has published numerous articles on the issue of equal access to justice and wrote a regular pro bono column for the New York Law Journal. Mr. Cassino has been honored for his commitment to public service by the Legal Aid Society, HerJustice, Adolescent and Family Services, Riverdale Nursery School, and in 2010 was appointed by Mayor Bloomberg to serve as a Commissioner on the New York City Charter Revision Commission.
