In recognition of its leading role on many of the most significant and high-profile finance transactions in Indonesia, Milbank was awarded Indonesia International Firm of the Year 2020 by Chambers Asia Pacific. Chambers Asia Pacific recognized Milbank for the fourth time in recent years for its market-leading work in Indonesia.
This award is attributed to successfully completing many of the most significant transactions in Indonesia in 2019, including the US$1.8 billion financing of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Field, the project financing of the Riau CCGT power project in Sumatra, PT Lestari Banten Energi’s US$775 million project bond issuance, the sale of PT Indosat Tbk.’s US$450 million telecommunication tower portfolio, and PT Adaro Indonesia and PT Adaro Energy Tbk’s issuance of US$750 million senior notes. Additionally, six different Milbank partners were ranked and recognized for their work in Indonesia: David Zemans, Naomi Ishikawa, James Murray, Giles Kennedy, Jacqueline Chan and James Orme.
