Milbank LLP is advising the lenders in Stonepeak’s agreement with Dominion Energy (NYSE: D) to acquire a 50% interest in its Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project (“CVOW”). Upon completion, CVOW, a 2.6-gigawatt offshore wind project 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, is expected to be the largest offshore wind farm in the US and one of the largest offshore wind farms globally.
The Milbank team advising on the financing was led by New York-based Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partners Dan Michalchuk, Dan Bartfeld and Richard Hillman, together with Global Leveraged Finance partners Marcus Dougherty and Benjamin Sayagh along with special counsel Severine Losembe and associates Sharanyaa Kruti Vasan, Yuman Xu, Nicole Rose and Jeff Turben and law clerk Patrick Kanopoulos.
