Primary Focus & Experience
Sharanyaa’s practice focuses on the representation of sponsors, investors, lenders, developers and other project participants in connection with project finance transactions, with an emphasis on renewable energy.
Her recent representations include:
- MUFG Bank, Ltd., First-Citizens Bank, National Bank of Canada and Nomura in the $350 million construction financing of two battery storage projects in Texas and California owned by Aypa Power;
- CleanCapital in connection with various warehouse and equipment loan facilities for its portfolio of solar projects;
- Investec and the lenders in connection with financing the development and construction of a food-to-waste renewable natural gas (RNG) project in Linden, New Jersey; and
- The Sponsor in tax equity financing for a utility scale solar project in Texas.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Sharanyaa received her Bachelor of Laws degree from Bangalore University in India and her and Master of Laws degree from Duke University School of Law.
Prior to joining Milbank, Sharanyaa practiced in a leading American firm as well as in-house, focusing on the construction and financing of renewable energy projects.
