Milbank LLP is pleased to announce that 16 attorneys in the firm’s Washington, DC office have been named to the 2023 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll.
The DC Courts, in partnership with the DC Access to Justice Commission and the DC Bar Pro Bono Center, recognize attorneys who have contributed 50 or more hours of pro bono work to those who cannot afford legal counsel. A majority of the recognized Milbank attorneys qualified for the High Honor Roll for committing more than 100 hours to pro bono service.

Milbank has a longstanding commitment to public service. In 2023, the firm topped 54,000 pro bono hours globally and handled 700 active cases. In the US, Milbank averaged 59 hours per lawyer and 97% of the firm’s lawyers contributed to the pro bono program. Milbank is ranked 17th in The American Lawyer 2023 Pro Bono Scorecard, which grades the top 200 US law firms, and is ranked 10th for breadth of commitment, which is based on the percentage of lawyers with more than 20 hours of pro bono service.
