Miranda Stupart is special counsel in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Alternative Investments Practice. Ms. Stupart is a member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative and a member of the sub-committee for Professional Development and Balance@Milbank.

Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Stupart’s practice includes representation of lenders and borrowers in domestic and cross-border financing transactions. She has worked for a variety of clients on matters involving secured lending, asset-based loans and structured investments, with primary focus on international securitization transactions and collateralized loan obligations. Her clients have included financial institutions, underwriters, hedge funds, collateral managers and rating agencies. She has worked on transactions in North America, Europe and Asia.
Ms. Stupart also has experience representing futures clearing merchants in respect of futures and cleared derivatives transactions. She has participated in a number of industry working groups focused on Basel III RWA requirements and Dodd-Frank compliance with respect to futures and cleared derivatives transactions.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Stupart earned each of her Bachelor of Commerce (first class standing) and Bachelor of Laws (first class standing) degrees from the University of Alberta. Ms. Stupart was awarded the Company Law Prize for highest standing in Company Law and the Criminal Trial Procedure Prize for highest standing in Criminal Trial Procedure.
