Conrad Marinkovic is an associate in the London office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group. Conrad has experience of complex commercial litigation, including international civil fraud matters, and international arbitration. Conrad also has experience of large, complex regulatory investigations, including concerning competition/antitrust issues and market abuse.

Primary Focus & Experience
Key experience includes:
- Acting for a defendant in relation to an international civil fraud matter, which was listed by The Lawyer as one of the Top 20 Cases of 2020. The case concerns an alleged asset management fraud in the sum of over US$300m and relates to numerous jurisdictions including Switzerland and the BVI.
- Assisting an investment firm with an investigation into a fraud perpetrated against them in relation to their acquisition of an international group of companies in the engineering services sector.
- Acting for claimants in High Court proceedings relating to a US$50m ship financing fraud, including obtaining interim asset freezing and disclosure relief, and taking steps to enforce a substantial money judgment in various jurisdictions.
- Acting for a fund in connection with an urgent injunction application.
- Acting for an international financial sector firm in relation to investigations by regulatory authorities in multiple jurisdictions concerning antitrust/competition law and market conduct issues.
- Acting for a South Asian government in ICC arbitration proceedings relating to claims arising from a power purchase agreement.
- Acting for a multinational Middle Eastern group in a DIFC LCIA arbitration concerning claims under a joint venture’s shareholders’ agreement.
- Acting for a group of Lenders in relation to ICC arbitration proceedings concerning the non-payment of tolling fees amounting to more than US$500 million on an LNG plant in Egypt.
