Once again receiving recognition for its market-leading Latin America practice, Milbank LLP was named “Latin America Legal Advisor of the Year” by Proximo for the second year in a row, and also received two “Deal of the Year” awards. The Latin America awards ceremony was held on March 9, 2022 in Miami.
The Proximo Deals of the Year Awards recognize notable transactions across the region in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Winners are selected based on input from the publication and peer firms across various sectors and regions.

In addition to recognition as “Latin America Legal Advisor of the Year”, Milbank transactions were honored in the following categories:
- Latin America Portfolio Deal of the Year – Chacao Plus: Milbank LLP advised in connection with the $980 million financing for a portfolio of energy assets (Chacao Plus) in Chile by Generadora Metropolitana, an energy generation company owned by EDF and AME.
- Latin America Project Bond Deal of the Year – Mubadala Capital Brazil: Milbank LLP advised in the largest 144A Project Bond offering in Brazil’s history, sponsored by Mubadala Capital, which is acquiring the Refinaria Landulpho Alves (RLAM) from Petrobras.
