Milbank LLP received three 2023 “Deal of the Year” awards at the IJGlobal Asia Pacific Awards event held on April 17 in Singapore. The IJGlobal Awards focus on the infrastructure and energy sectors.
Milbank transactions were honored in the following categories:
Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year – Data Center – Project Gotham. Milbank advised the finance parties, including the mandated lead arrangers, senior lenders and hedge banks, in the US$403.8 million financing of an up to 120MW hyperscale data center campus for PT Graha Teknologi Nusantara, a subsidiary of the sponsor, EdgeConneX International Coöperatief U.A.
Renewable Energy Deal of the Year – Onshore Wind – Project Monsoon. Milbank advised Asian Development Bank and other senior secured parties on a historic US$692 million non-recourse project financing to construct and operate the Monsoon Wind Power Project located in Laos PDR. The Monsoon Project has also been recognized as the Project Finance Deal of the Year by IFLR, ESG Deal of the Year at the Asia Legal Awards and Asia-Pacific Wind Deal of the Year by Project Finance International.
Sustainability-Linked Loan – Data Centers – SEL2 Financing. Milbank advised on the financing for the SEL2 facility in Seoul, the largest commercial colocation center in South Korea to date. The new data center aims to reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions and enhance electricity generation reliability.
