Milbank LLP partners Jacqueline Chan and Dara Panahy will moderate and speak at the APSCC 2024 Satellite Conference & Exhibition, organized by the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC), taking place November 5–7, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ms. Chan will moderate the “Navigating Risk for Sustainable Space in 2024” panel on November 6. As the space economy grows, new risks are emerging that threaten the success of satellite missions, space exploration and the businesses that rely on them. Panelists will discuss the various paths and challenges to the long-term stability and sustainability of the space market and implications for the future.

Mr. Panahy will speak on the “Financing Space Industry’s Future - Investments, IPOs and M&A” panel on November 7. In the last ten years, venture dollars fueling the space industry have grown tenfold, supporting systematic adoption of space services by enterprises, space agencies and governments. Asia Pacific has dominated the exit landscape with IPOs and emerged as a go-to destination for growth capital. Panelists will cover the shift of space investment activity to Asia Pacific, the lessons learned from the 2021 SPAC era and developments for 2024.
