Milbank LLP hosted its annual Manila year-end holiday client party at Shangri-la The Fort on December 4. This year, the firm also held an informative legal seminar prior to the dinner titled "The Future of Corporate Finance in the Philippines." Milbank partners from the Hong Kong office led a series of forward-looking discussions centered around capital markets, corporate M&A, and leveraged finance, highlighting the issues and opportunities for Philippine-based clients.
The seminar was followed by the annual dinner party, a flagship event and hallmark of the firm's calendar, which attracted over 160 esteemed clients from various industries across the Philippines. Milbank partners and associates involved in our Philippine business from around the region attended the event to meet with longstanding, new and potential Philippine clients. Spirits were high given the economic success the Philippines enjoyed in 2024 and is expecting in 2025.
Continuing its tradition of community support, Milbank spotlighted a local charity at the dinner. This year, the firm shone a light on Angat Buhay, a distinguished Filipino non-profit organization that empowers Filipinos by mobilizing the largest volunteer network to implement sustainable development initiatives focused on education, health and nutrition, disaster relief and rehabilitation, and community engagement. In support of its mission, Milbank made a meaningful donation to Angat Buhay, reinforcing its dedication to fostering active citizen communities and driving positive change.
