Milbank LLP advised JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs as underwriters in connection with the $900 million offering by Comunicaciones Celulares, S.A. through a Cayman Trust. The offering was made using a back-to-back structure, the notes were issued by a Cayman Trust that purchased a 100% participation in a loan extended by JP Morgan to the Company.
The Milbank deal team was led by Marcelo Mottesi, Chair of Milbank’s Global Capital Markets practice and co-head of the firm’s Latin America Group, along with partner Carlos Albarracin and associates Pablo Richards, Diana Felipe and international attorney Marco Zaldivar. The team also included Tax partner Andrew Walker and associate Ben Heller, and Alternative Investments partners Jay Grushkin and Catherine Leef Martin and special counsel Miranda Stupart.
