Milbank Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partner Aled Davies authored the Global Overview chapter for the 15th edition of Getting the Deal Through: Project Finance 2022. The chapter provides an introduction to project finance and discusses the fundamental issues a project finance lawyer needs to consider when assessing the various legal, economic, technical and political risks presented by each project.
In addition to the introductory chapter, Mr. Davies co-authored a chapter with special counsel Justen Fleming titled “Covid-19: force majeure provisions in project contracts.” The chapter explores whether the Covid-19 outbreak and related governmental actions likely constitute force majeure events under project contracts and examines the practical considerations of a potential force majeure claim in a project finance context.
Getting the Deal Through: Project Finance 2022 provides a comparative guide to the most important issues related to project finance regulation across jurisdictions worldwide, covering a broad range of topics.
