Zachary Cronin is special counsel in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Transportation and Space Group.

Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Cronin’s experience includes a variety of international financial and corporate transactions involving transportation assets, with a particular emphasis on global aviation. His practice focuses on secured and unsecured bank lending, asset acquisitions and dispositions, acquisitions and dispositions of companies owning or leasing assets, domestic and cross-border operating leases, asset-backed securities private placements and asset-backed securities offerings under Rule 144A/Regulation S, and export credit agency supported financings. He has represented financial institutions, project sponsors, private equity firms, aircraft leasing companies, airlines, and other corporations in domestic and international transactions. He has worked on some of the most significant securitizations and financings involving aircraft, including transactions that have been recognized by industry publications as “Deals of the Year.”
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Cronin was recognized in Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Expert Guides: Rising Stars 2020 and 2021 for his work in Aviation. The “rising star” guide recognizes top attorneys under the age of 40 across a number of practice areas.
Mr. Cronin earned his J.D. from Fordham Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief for the Fordham International Law Journal and Associate Competitions Editor on the Fordham Moot Court Board. He was selected as a Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Fellow for his work at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, and worked at the New York State Attorney General’s Office in the Investor Protection Bureau and the Northern Ireland Law Commission in Belfast while in law school. He received his B.A. from New York University.
