Zach Birenbaum is an associate in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Birenbaum’s practice focuses on the representation of project sponsors and financial institutions on a range of US and cross-border project development, finance and merger & acquisition transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
His notable experience includes the representation of:
- Investec Bank and the other lenders in connection with the financing, development and construction of a 3,783 MMBTu per day food-to-waste renewable natural gas project in New Jersey.
- SoftBank Energy in connection with the tax equity financing of a 250 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Texas.
- Santander Bank in connection with the financing, development and construction of an 81.5 MW photovoltaic solar electricity generating plant in Indiana.
- The lenders in connection with an $810 million project financing supporting the acquisition of an interest in real estate ultimately leased to a large healthcare provider for the operation of 6 hospitals in Utah.
