Zach Birenbaum is an associate in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Birenbaum’s practice focuses on the representation of project sponsors and financial institutions on a range of US and cross-border project development, finance and merger & acquisition transactions across the energy and transportation sectors.
His notable experience* includes the representation of:
- SB Energy (a subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp.) on the tax equity financing of a 250 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Texas.
- Investec Bank as coordinating lead arranger, sole bookrunner, lender as well as the other lenders in connection with the financing, development and construction of a 3,783 MMBTu per day food-to-waste renewable natural gas project in New Jersey.
- Lender in connection with the financing of a monopile manufacturing facility for an offshore wind project in New Jersey.
- Borrower in the negotiation of a $185 million senior unsecured multi-draw term loan credit facility for a 180 MW solar project in Arkansas.
- Borrower in the negotiation of a $60 million construction financing for a 34 MW solar project in Pennsylvania.
