Primary Focus & Experience
Before joining Milbank, Russell practiced for four years at another leading international law firm focused on white collar defense, representing various companies and institutions, including tech companies and banks, before the Department of Justice, State Attorneys General and District Attorney’s Offices. Thereafter, he clerked for the Hon. Kenneth M. Karas of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, the Hon. Patrick E. Higginbotham of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Hon. Jennifer W. Elrod of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Russell also serves in the United States Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Officer (O-2, LTJG), for which he holds a Top Secret-SCI clearance.
