Primary Focus & Experience
Mounir has experience advising clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, focusing in particular on cross-border and domestic mergers, acquisitions, private equity, growth-stage investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. Prior to joining Milbank, Mounir was an associate in the London corporate department of an international law firm where he was also seconded to the Singapore office.
A selection of Mounir’s experience includes advising:
- Fressnapf Beteiligungs GmbH on the purchase of the Italian Arcaplanet Group from Permira and related joint venture arrangements with Cinven;*
- Dell Technologies on the sale of its legacy security firm to a consortium of investors for circa. $2.1 billion;*
- IBM on the global separation and reorganization of Kyndryl Holdings, Inc., its managed infrastructure services business, prior to the spin-off of Kyndryl into a separate publicly traded company;*
- Goldman Sachs Growth in connection with its investments in a number of English fintech businesses;*
- McKinsey on its acquisition of Vivid Economics, a strategic economics consultancy with broad sustainability and macroeconomic capabilities, and Planetrics, a climate analytics suite;*
- Walmart on its majority acquisition of Flipkart Group, India’s leading marketplace eCommerce platform, for approximately US$16 billion;* and
- Lloyds Banking Group and Scottish Widows on its acquisition of Zurich's UK workplace pensions and savings business, with £19bn of AuA.*
All deals marked * were completed at prior firms.
