Primary Focus & Experience

Michael's practice focuses on M&A and private equity transactions. He has experience of various forms of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions in a wide range of sectors, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, direct investments, divestitures, portfolio company bolt-on acquisitions, and structuring management incentive schemes.

Michael has recently represented:

• VetPartners Limited, a portfolio company of BC Partners, on the expedited divestment of certain assets to Linnaeus Veterinary Group*
• Mount Anvil Group on the acquisition of Ares' interest in their property joint venture*
• Sportech plc on the disposal of its Global Tote Business to BetMakers Technology Group*
• Circle Health Group and its majority shareholder, Penta Capital, on an investment in Circle Health by Centene Corporation, and the subsequent sale of Penta Capital's stake in Circle Health to Centene*
• Circle Health Group and its majority shareholder, Penta Capital, on Circle's acquisition of the BMI Healthcare Group and the subsequent divestment of certain assets following an order from the Competition and Markets Authority*
• Growth Capital Partners on the disposal of Arrow Business Communications to MML Capital Partners*
• Investindustrial on its acquisition of UK car manufacturer Morgan Motors*
