Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Zenker’s practice focuses on the representation of project sponsors, commercial banks, multilateral and development finance institutions, private equity funds, institutional investors and other key stakeholders in connection with domestic and cross-border project finance transactions in various industries and sectors, including power (renewable/conventional), energy transition projects and energy and transportation infrastructure.
Representative Transactions
Ms. Zenker’s notable recent experience includes the representation of:
- The lenders to Global Infrastructure Partners in connection with its acquisition of Eversource Energy’s 50% interest in the South Fork and Revolution Wind projects located off the coast of New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island for approximately $1.1 billion. (Ongoing)
- The US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in connection with a $150 million financing for the expansion and modernization of Yilport Terminal Operations S.A.’s Puerto Bolivar container port facility located in Ecuador’s El Oro province. (Ongoing)
- The project sponsor in connection with negotiating multiple carbon capture credit purchase agreements for direct air capture (DAC) facilities, including a 5 megaton DAC project to be located in Wyoming. (Ongoing)
- Apterra Infrastructure Capital LLC, as sole bookrunner, coordinating lead arranger and administrative agent, and the lenders in connection with a $600 million financing to Longroad Energy for the development, construction, operation and maintenance of a portfolio of utility scale wind energy generation, solar energy generation, and battery energy storage projects located across the United States.
- The lenders in connection with a $128 million project financing for a 500 kV transmission line spanning 236 km through central Colombia.
- Onward Energy in connection with its acquisition of, and financing for, a 1,171 MW operating solar portfolio located across 8 states from Global Atlantic Financial Group.
- Apterra Infrastructure Capital LLC, as sole bookrunner and syndication agent, and the lenders in connection with a $500 million senior secured credit facility to OPAL Fuels Inc., a vertically integrated producer and distributor of renewable natural gas (RNG) and renewable energy to finance the development and construction of additional RNG and renewable energy projects.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Zenker earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Wagner College. She is also fluent in Spanish.
She was the author of “Made in Misery: Mandating Supply Chain Labor Compliance”, Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law (2018).
