Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Schwer’s practice focuses on the representation of private equity funds, project sponsors, investors, developers and other stakeholders in domestic and cross-border acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, project development and supply chain transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
His recent representations include:
- Represented a independent power producer in connection with a power plant expansion project in the Dominican Republic*
- Represented a global investment manager and a life insurance company in connection with the disposition of their ownership in a wind power generation facility in Washington state*
- Represented a mining company in connection with the renegotiation of its gas supply arrangements for its largest US mining facility*
- Represented a solar developer in connection with the sale of a utility-scale pv development project and a utility-scale storage development project in New Mexico*
- Represented a private equity fund in the restructuring of equity in its fintech mobile money platform operating across Africa*
- Represented a private equity fund in connection with an EV battery joint venture between its portfolio company and a global Chinese battery manufacturer and technology company*
- Represented a developer in connection with the construction of an alcohol-to-jet fuel biorefinery project in Georgia*
