Jeremy Butt is an associate in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm's Litigation & Arbitration Group. Jeremy's practice focuses on white collar defense and investigations as well as data privacy and information security. He represents financial institutions, public companies, asset management firms, and individuals in internal and government investigations.

Jeremy received his J.D. from Queen’s University, graduating as the Gold Medalist. He was the recipient of numerous awards, including prizes in Public Law, Evidence Law and Appellate Advocacy.
After his J.D., Jeremy clerked for judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario and for the Honourable Justice Michael J. Moldaver at the Supreme Court of Canada. He then completed an LL.M. at Harvard Law School, focusing on Constitutional Law and Cybercrime.
Jeremy holds a B.A. in Psychology from University of British Columbia with a focus in cognitive neuroscience.
