Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Lang’s practice focuses on corporate and securities matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance, joint ventures, and out-of-court and chapter 11 restructurings. Ms. Lang has worked with both private and public clients in a broad range of industries, including infrastructure involving renewable energy, pipelines, utilities and other assets, as well as aircraft leasing, telecommunications, gaming and biotechnology.
Ms. Lang’s recent representations include:
- Nexus Capital Management LP on its partnership with ACT, the mission-driven provider of the assessments, research and work-ready credentials designed to support education and workplace success.
- A global alternative asset manager in a joint venture with an investment firm that targets transportation and industrial assets. The joint venture holds a portfolio of railcars in the US and Canada.
- Cometa Energía, a subsidiary of Saavi Energía, in its acquisition of La Lucha Power Plant, a 130 MW solar photovoltaic power facility located in Mexico, from Northland Power Inc.
- Voyager Aviation Holdings, LLC in the completion of its exchange offer in an out-of-court financial restructuring transaction, a subsequent debt offering and its chapter 11 restructuring and related asset sales.
- GTT Communications in its chapter 11 restructuring.
- IIF, JPMorgan’s Infrastructure Fund, in connection with the combination of its regulated water and wastewater utility platform, SouthWest Water Company, with BCI’s regulated water and wastewater utility platform, Corix Group.
- Certain lenders in Nordic Aviation Capital’s chapter 11 restructuring.
- IIF, JPMorgan’s Infrastructure Fund, in its acquisition of Enstor Gas, the largest privately owned gas storage company in the US, from an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners.
- Onward Energy in its acquisition of all equity interests in an existing solar photovoltaic investment portfolio from Dominion Energy.
- An investment advisor in its acquisition of a Louisiana riverboat casino.
- CDPQ in its acquisition of a 15% interest in the Indiana Toll Road from IFM Investors.
- A global infrastructure investor in its acquisition of a significant minority interest in Third Coast’s midstream assets.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Lang earned her J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and her B.A., cum laude, in French and Government, from Georgetown University.
During law school, Ms. Lang received numerous individual and team oral advocacy awards, including the Peter A. Donovan Award for Outstanding Third-Year Oralist awarded by Boston College Law School and the 68thAnnual National Moot Court Competition’s New England regional Individual Best Oralist, co-sponsored by the New York City Bar Association and the American College of Trial Lawyers.
From 2020 to 2023, Ms. Lang was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine. This peer designation is awarded only to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state. The Rising Stars selection process takes into account peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other cogent factors.
Ms. Lang serves as the Board Secretary and as member of the Board of Directors and its Governance and Nominating Committee of Hope for Haiti, a nonprofit organization with the mission to improve the quality of life of the Haitian people, particularly children, through education, healthcare, water, infrastructure, and the economy.
Ms. Lang is proficient in French and Haitian Creole.
