Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Fauver’s practice focuses on all aspects of antitrust law, including litigation, merger review, and government investigations. During law school, she was a legal intern in the Antitrust Division at the US Department of Justice, where she conducted merger investigations and criminal antitrust investigations. Ms. Fauver also served as a legal intern in the Mergers IV Division of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition where she conducted retail merger investigations.
Ms. Fauver brings a deep breadth of knowledge about economics to her practice of law. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Fauver was an antitrust economist. During her two decades in that role, Ms. Fauver provided expert economic testimony and analysis for antitrust litigation matters— including class certification, liability, and damages—and for merger challenges. Ms. Fauver has handled cases in a broad range of industries, including automotive, chemicals, consumer products, energy, labor, media and technology, pharmaceuticals, real estate, retail, and transportation.
Recognition & Accomplishments
In 2024, Ms. Fauver was recommended for antitrust in Legal 500 USA, with clients saying she is “a talented and promising associate” (Legal 500). Ms. Fauver frequently writes on issues involving antitrust. Her latest article, A Chair with No Legs? Legal Constraints on the Competition Rule-Making Authority of Lina Khan’s FTC, 14 Wm. & Mary Bus. L. Rev. 243 (2023), contemplates how modern theories of statutory interpretation suggest that the FTC wields less competition rule-making authority than its supporters have proffered. She received a Concurrences Antitrust Writing Award in 2016 and 2019 for her publications.
During law school, Ms. Fauver served as the Editor-in-Chief of the George Mason Law Review and a writing fellow for the law school’s Legal Research, Writing, and Analysis Program. Ms. Fauver was also a Research Assistant for Professor Joshua D. Wright, with whom she has co-authored, and the recipient of George Mason’s Global Antitrust Institute Award for Excellence in Antitrust Law and Economics.
Ms. Fauver received her J.D., magna cum laude, from George Mason University and her M.A. in Economics from the George Washington University. She earned a dual baccalaureate degree, summa cum laude, in Economics and Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.
