James McIntyre is an associate in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Financial Restructuring Group.

Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. McIntyre’s practice focuses on the representation of debtors, creditors, and sponsors and in complex domestic and international restructuring matters.
Prior to joining Milbank, Mr. McIntyre served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Marvin Isgur of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. Additionally, Mr. McIntyre served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Frank Bailey of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. McIntyre received his J.D. with high honors from George Washington University Law School, where he served as a Notes Editor of the George Washington Law Review. While in law school, Mr. McIntyre placed second in the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition at St. John’s University School of Law. Mr. McIntyre was also awarded the American Bankruptcy Law Journal Prize in recognition of his top performance in George Washington University Law School’s business bankruptcy course. Mr. McIntyre received his B.A. from the College of Charleston, majoring in art history.
