- The initial purchasers in connection with a $210 million notes issuance by Aenza S.A.A., a Peruvian conglomerate with operations in the infrastructure, energy, real estate, and engineering and construction sectors
- The underwriters in connection with registered offerings by Ecopetrol S.A. in an amount in excess of $9 billion, as well as the dealer-managers in several cash tender offers by Ecopetrol
- The initial purchasers in connection with several note offerings and liability management transactions undertaken by YPF Sociedad Anónima S.A., including its exchange offer relating to seven series of bonds totaling over $6 billion
- The initial purchasers in connection with the $325 million offering of senior notes due 2028 by Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A.U.
- Avianca Airlines, the second-largest airline group in Latin America, in its chapter 11 reorganization
- Cencosud S.A. in connection with the issuance of $650 million 5.950% senior unsecured notes due 2031
- Compañía de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. in its inaugural Rule 144A / Reg S offering of $550 million 5.500% notes due 2026
- Cencosud Shopping S.A., as issuer, and Cencosud S.A., as selling shareholder, in Cencosud Shopping’s initial public offering of 472 million shares of common stock representing approximately 28% of the outstanding capital stock of Cencosud Shopping
- The joint lead arrangers and bookrunners and lenders in connection with MercadoLibre, Inc.’s syndicated revolving credit agreement
- The administrative agent and the lenders in connection with a $300 million senior unsecured term loan credit facility for Tecpetrol S.A., guaranteed by Tecpetrol Internacional S.L.U.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Guitart was named a Capital Markets “Leading Associate” in Legal 500 Latin America: International Firms. He received his law degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and his LL.M. from Columbia Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Argentina and in New York. Mr. Guitart is a native Spanish speaker.
