Charl van der Merwe is an antitrust and FDI associate in the London office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm's Global Corporate Group.

Primary Focus & Experience
Charl has wide experience acting for clients in antitrust, consumer protection and FDI matters. He has worked on large international cartel and other conduct investigations and his practice focuses on advising on multijurisdictional antitrust and FDI notifications, in both private and public transactions.
Prior to joining Milbank, Charl was an associate at a magic circle law firm in London. Charl also brings international experience, having previously worked at leading law firms in South Africa and on secondment in Germany.

- One of the main parties in the CMA’s ongoing market investigation into veterinary services for household pets.
