Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Hernandez’s practice focuses on the representation of project sponsors and financial institutions on a range of US and cross-border project financings.
His recent representations include:
- Represented Manulife Investment Management in a recapitalization of a nationwide portfolio of industrial properties developed by Scannell Properties. The transaction includes 35 newly built or under construction industrial properties in 17 markets, totaling 10.4 million square feet and valued at $1.2 billion;
- Represented Monroe Capital Management Advisors, as mezzanine lender, and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as mortgage lender, in the origination of a $173 million construction loan to finance a mixed-use development for Sundy Village in Delray Beach, FL.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Hernandez earned his juris doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School, and a B.A. in Political Science, as well as Philosophy from Swarthmore College.
