Milbank LLP Global Leveraged Finance special counsel Janet Nadile will speak on the “Annual UCC & Commercial Law Update” panel on June 1, 2024 during The Association of Commercial Finance Attorney’s (ACFA) Continuing Legal Education Weekend in Manchester, Vermont. The panelists will discuss recent Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and other commercial law cases, the status of enactments of the 2022 UCC amendments and some recent Uniform Law Commission drafting projects, including the Uniform Special Deposits Act.
The program, which runs from May 31 to June 2, includes high-level seminar discussions by senior practitioners in the lending, credit and bankruptcy fields, covering cross-border financing, the Corporate Transparency Act and annual updates on UCC/Commercial Law and Bankruptcy.
Ms. Nadile developed and presents the Secured Transaction Series for Milbank’s finance groups, and initiated and oversees the firm’s new recommended collateral procedures for secured transactions. Covering a broad array of commercial law and secured transactions, Ms. Nadile’s practice is focused on issues regarding Articles 8 and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
