Milbank LLP hosted its Annual Real Estate 3-on-3 Basketball Invitational on November 21, 2024, at Chelsea Piers, an action-packed event filled with both players and spectators enthusiastically cheering for their favorite teams. Participants included Milbank attorneys as well as teams representing Apollo Global Management, ARES Management, Artemis Real Estate, Dune Real Estate, DWS Asset Management, Fulcrum Hospitality, Manulife, Oxford Properties, PIMCO, Prospect Ridge and many more. They came, they saw, they conquered – with the Dune Real Estate squad taking home the championship trophy after narrowly defeating the Eastdil Secured team in the final.
Milbank selects a partner charity for the Invitational every year, using the event to raise funds for charities that are close to both clients and the firm. This year’s partner charity was the Queens Botanical Garden (QBG). The QBG is an urban oasis where people, plants and cultures are celebrated through inspiring gardens, innovative educational programs and real-world applications of environmental stewardship.
Commenting on the Invitational, Milbank Real Estate partner Erwin Dweck said, “I am pleased that we were able to partner with the Queens Botanical Garden and Kelsey Bishop to raise funds for this incredible organization. We take great pride in knowing that 100% of the funds that we raised will go directly to the QBG, supporting their vital and impactful work in the community.”
