The American Lawyer’s latest Diversity Scorecard once again places Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP among the top US law firms for diversity. In Am Law’s 2017 rankings, Milbank comes in 10th among all Am Law 200/NLJ 250 law firms, up three places from 2016.
For the scorecard, Am Law ranks firms according to the percentage of minority attorneys – Asian-American, African-American, Latino or Hispanic, Native American and self-described multiracial – in the organizations as a whole and within their partnerships. Reflecting the firm’s ongoing commitment to diversity, Milbank has ranked in the top 15 for the past five years. This strong score has contributed to the firm’s exceptional performance on Am Law’s elite annual A-List, on which Milbank ranked 3rd in 2016.
