Milbank Partner Dara Panahy Moderates Panel on Investors’ Outlook Within the Space Economy at SATELLITE 2025 Conference

Dara Panahy, who heads Milbank’s Space Business practice globally, moderated the “Investors’ Outlook on Future Space Economy Applications” panel on March 13, 2025, as part of the Leadership Forum at the SATELLITE 2025 conference in Washington, DC. Mr. Panahy was joined by speakers from SpaceFund, MDA Space and E2MC Ventures as well as an Economic Development official.

The panel discussed the investment outlook for “Future Space Economy” applications, including communications, space transportation, space stations, tourism, research, robotics and Moon/Mars missions. The panelists also discussed reasonable timelines regarding when the financial sector, government and the public may see returns on Future Space Economy investments.

SATELLITE 2025, held from March 10–13, 2025 gathers the global space and satellite communities for four immersive days of enterprise, insights and innovation, this year including the debut of GovMilSpace, which expands the conference into the defense sector as well.
