The panel discussed how space segment evolution has driven digitalization and cloudification of ground segments, with satellite operators leveraging Cloud services and edge computing. The panel also examined how space-based connectivity infrastructure solutions support applications such as Internet/broadband access, download and dissemination of Earth Observation data, Internet of Things, Cloud-hosted applications, storage and processing/analytics, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.
