Milbank LLP is pleased to announce that Daniel Rosenthal has joined the firm’s Washington, DC office as special counsel in the Global Antitrust and Competition Practice.
Mr. Rosenthal brings to Milbank deep expertise in merger control, government antitrust reviews and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (HSR Act). Mr. Rosenthal has over a decade of experience advising clients on complex antitrust investigations by the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, as well as cross-border M&A transactions. His notable representations include Sun Chemical and DIC Corporation on their acquisition of BASF’s Global Pigments Business.
In addition, Mr. Rosenthal regularly advises clients on issues related to the HSR Act, as well as international merger reviews.

Mr. Rosenthal was recently named a 2022 Recommended Lawyer by The Legal 500 USA for Antitrust. He has also authored numerous articles related to antitrust topics, including for the United States: Merger Control Comparative Guide published by The Legal 500.
The addition of Mr. Rosenthal reflects the continued growth of Milbank’s global antitrust practice. He follows the recent additions of leading antitrust attorneys Adam Di Vincenzo, partner in the DC office, and Andrea Hamilton, partner in the London office.
Mr. Rosenthal joins Milbank from the DC office of White & Case LLP, where he was an associate in the Global Antitrust/Competition Practice. He received his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
