Milbank LLP advised the initial purchaser in a $480 million securitization of a portion of the gross revenues of the Norman Manley International Airport (“NMIA”) for the Government of Jamaica. This is the latest in a long line of airport finance transactions Milbank has served as counsel on.
“We are pleased to have advised on this complex bond offering, which received significant interest from international investors,” said Marcelo Mottesi, chair of Milbank’s Corporate Finance and Securities practice and co-head of the firm’s Latin America group.
“This marks another successful 144A bond financing that our clients have successfully executed in the region, and it is a privilege to partner with clients on market-setting transportation infrastructure transactions like this,” added Dan Bartfeld, chair of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance group.
The Milbank deal team was led by Mr. Mottesi along with special counsel Andres Osornio Ocaranza and support from associates Louise Toledo Farias, Mackenzie Martin and Allison Mahoney, law clerk Jasmynn Cobb and international attorney Rafael Bresciani. The deal team also included Tax partner Andrew Walker and associate Michelle Song.
