The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has advised the Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) on the sale of its shares in ZGS Verwaltungs-GmbH (Schülerhilfe). The shares in Schülerhilfe are acquired by Oakley Capital Private Equity, whose portfolio includes numerous private schools.
Schülerhilfe is the largest educational and tutoring provider in Germany and Austria in a highly fragmented market with 460 own and 600 franchise branches, and has been providing tutoring in all major subjects and for all classes and grades for 42 years.
The acquisition is still subject to approval by the competent cartel authorities.
A Milbank team led by Michael Bernhardt comprehensively advised DBAG on all legal aspects related to the transaction.
