Milbank LLP advised BCPG Public Company Limited (“BCPG”) on its investment to acquire a 40% interest in the 700-MW natural gas-fired, combined cycle power generation facility, Carroll County Energy, located in Carroll County, Ohio. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
Earlier this year, Milbank represented BCPG in its acquisition of a 49% equity interest in a joint venture with Advanced Power that owns a minority equity stake in both Carroll County Energy and South Field Energy, a 1,182-MW natural gas-fired, combined cycle generation facility located in Columbiana County, Ohio.
BCPG has invested in four US electric generation facilities: Carroll County Energy LLC and South Field Energy LLC in Ohio; Hamilton Liberty, an 848-MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Asylum County, Pennsylvania; and Hamilton Patriot, an 857-MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
