Milbank LLP partner Apostolos Gkoutzinis is taking part in a panel discussion on “Securing Ample Energy” at the Greek-British Symposium on 11, October 2024. Panelists will discuss the question of whether the creation of a large and economically disciplined European energy market, in which the UK and Greece could be integrated, prove to be the key condition for security of supply and energy affordability.
The Greek-British Symposium is a bilateral forum, a privately led and sponsorship-funded initiative, with the support of the British Embassy Athens and the British Council, which brings together senior politicians, technocrats and leading academics from Greece and the United Kingdom. It was launched in October 2017 in Nafplion, Greece, and is held annually, alternating between Nafplion and Oxford. Its mission is to strengthen the links between the two countries to mutual benefit. The Symposium is an annual, by invitation only, event which brings together leaders in politics, business, academia, media and culture from the UK and Greece for an exchange of views and ideas on the challenges and opportunities facing these countries and on how to enrich the relationship between them.
The symposium will be held under the Chatham House Rule and is invitation only.
